Director Pekka Hara is a true Finnish export. A sign of this is the rather pompous title of "Best International Director" he was awarded with at Midsummer Awards in London 2005. A year later highly acclaimed Creativity magazine picked him to it's "Directors To Watch" article, which featured 20 most interesting up-coming directors around the world. His spots have been frequently hitting the finalist lists in Cannes, New York, Eurobest and Montreux and in 2009 he became the first Finn to win Silver Lion in Cannes since the beginning of the 80s. His most famous work include a true heavyweight campaign (EuroRSCG Worldwide) for Volvo in USA. Volvo “Rosi” made it’s way to the longest category name ever as 1 of 3 finalists: “the most emotionally compelling car commercial that ran on national TV (USA) in 2006” at Heart String Awards. Pardon, say again?  Anyway – other Hara classics are Philips Ambilight’s launch in China (DDB London) and his visual tour de force for Eniro “Home To Home”. The most recent success story is the launch campaign for Santander (EuroRSCG Helsinki) - “Live More” spot has gained notable attention among industry websites and blogs around the world.

Hara is represented by Stink (www.stink.tv) among other top companies.   More info and films can be found from www.pekkahara.com.
